The
Incipit: Life in New Aurora
It was 7:00
AM in New Aurora, a city floating in the sky. Leo, a fifteen-year-old boy, woke
up as his bedroom AI assistant, Nova, gently turned on the lights.
Leo didn’t
go to a normal school. Instead, he put on a virtual reality headset to attend
classes with students from all over the world. Robots did almost every job in
the city, from cooking breakfast to working as doctors in high-tech hospitals.
People traveled in flying electric taxis, guided completely by artificial
intelligence. Humans no longer needed to drive or work hard physical jobs.
Leo looked
out of his window at the shining flying cars. Everything seemed peaceful and
perfect. But suddenly, Nova’s screen turned red, and all the lights in the city
went out.
Nova
whispered in a strange voice: "Leo, the system is failing. You are the
only one who can save us..."
